Instead of having a baby this past weekend, we took advantage of the weatherman being wrong AGAIN!

Yep! We took our brandy new boat out for a "shake down" cruise on Saturday. A great morning, some wispy clouds in the sky and lifting fog, the Colbster, Sheldon still in his egg, mom, dad all hopped aboard the new "booht" as Cman would say. She's very quick and quite spiffy now that it's waxed up and floating! What better way to try to "crack the shell" than with a bumpy boat ride. Too bad it didn't work. Oh well, all that fresh air definitely means a nap for the little guy and a lazy afternoon in the hammock for mom. Dad opted to knock some more things off the "to do before Sheldon arrives" or rather the "continue to make a dent since Sheldon is not here yet" list and mowed the lawn.
Sunday, still low-keyed as we STILL were (are) waiting. Still NUTING happening! Once again instead of heading to the hospital to have a baby we just kept plugging away and going about life as usual. Scott and I both received great gift cards for Mother's and Father's Day from his parents (aka Nanny and Pal) to our local garden store. We've been slowly but surely landscaping small sections of the yard each year and have secretly been wanting to tackle this back section by the deck for some time. It's so sunny all day in this area of the yard and so we were both really excited to get some nice "sun-loving" flowering plants. And for only about $8 out of our pocket because of our great gift cards we now have a great planting bed just beside the deck. Thanks Mom and Dad (T).
And thus another fun-filled, relaxing and project tackling weekend came and went.
Could "Sheldon" reeeeeeeeeally be that happy just hanging out in his shell?
