Yes, we live in a southern lily white town where the cookie cutter blonde hair blue eye child makes up nearly all of his class. Somehow we always seem to find these kind of towns... it was very similar in our small town life back in CT. Ha.
Up next... Gingerbread house making! (Or really they were Graham Cracker houses, but who's getting technical!)
They had so much fun with their icing snow and decorating their own houses with loads of tasty treats. No eating though!
Colby was so proud of his creation!
Our little engineer had made sure that each and every ounce of space was covered and that the walls were structurally sound made out of appropriate "wall" looking cookies.
The roof of course had shingles that ran vertically!
And the front had windows and a candy door with Candy Cane bushes welcoming people home! :)
His little friend "N"'s parents couldn't make it so I took her picture so that I could send it to them. Now to find their email address.... note to self, ask the teacher for N's email address. She is totally adorable and so well spoken for 4 years old. She rides the bus with Colby home in the afternoon and greets me with a smile every day!
They did their rotation groups for centers with other holiday activities... pin the nose on Rudolph, trail mix making, cookie decorating and more! Yes, that's Colby's teacher Mrs. B. She's so funny and very fun-loving! Just check out the outfit for the Christmas party... not too many people can pull off a red tutu with green shirt and scarf with a present headband hat - ONLY a preschool teacher!
Oooopsy... he pinned it on Rudolph's eye! :)
Last but not least lets decorate those yummy cookies and EAT!!!
All in all a very silly and festive time! He loves school and that's what matters, but throw in a few class parties and it just makes the experience that much more exciting, playful and fun!
